Species Accounts

INR-OSU and INR-PSU/ORBIC have been working with the USDA Forest Service Southwest Region (R5) to write species accounts for species of potential conservation concern on their lands as required for updating national forest plans. This work is being done on species in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest (RRSNF) and forests within the Blue Mountains. For work in the Blue Mountains, INR is working 183 species accounts including 127 vascular plants, 16 bryophytes/lichens/fungi, and 40 animals following templates provided by the Forest Service. Depending on access and logistics, INR will sample 15 to 20 Forest Service air quality program lichen biomonitoring plots.
