Species Accounts

Species Accounts & Bio-monitoring

INR-OSU and INR-PSU/ORBIC have been working with the USDA Forest Service Northwest and Southwest Regions (R5-6) to write species accounts for species of potential conservation concern on their lands as required for updating national forest plans. This work is being done on species in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest (RRSNF) and forests within the Blue Mountains. For work in the Blue Mountains, INR is working 183 species accounts including 127 vascular plants, 16 bryophytes/lichens/fungi, and 40 animals following templates provided by the Forest Service. INR is also helping the Forest Service sample lichen biomonitoring plots for their air quality program.

Species account documents will be posted to the INR-PSU Species of Conservation Concern Scholars Archive collection.
