Since it was launched in 2007, the Oregon Explorer natural resources digital library has been providing access to data, mapping and reporting tools, stories and other archived information to help local citizens, planners and policymakers make more informed decisions about Oregon’s natural resources and communities. With the Oregon Explorer, users can:
- create maps and learn about any place in Oregon,
- gain an understanding of local issues,
- learn about Oregon communities,
- explore Oregon's basins and watersheds,
- download GIS data, and
- access the list of tools the Oregon Explorer program has created.
Oregon Explorer information, tools, and data have been developed with a variety of public and private partners at the local, state, and regional levels. The Oregon Explorer program is a collaboration between the Institute for Natural Resources and the Oregon State University Libraries and Press.
