Wes provides geospatial analysis and science synthesis in support of threat assessment to public lands in the western U.S. His work is aimed at helping land managers address a range of intensifying stressors that the region’s forests and rangelands are exposed to including wildfires, droughts, insect outbreaks, and flooding. His work with INR is close collaboration with U.S. Forest Service’s Western Wildland Environmental Threat Assessment Center (WWETAC). In his off time, he enjoys birdwatching and spending time with friends and family.
