Mary studied Wildlife Management and Conservation at Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt). She has been monitoring snowy plovers for 4 breeding seasons now (2 in central coast California, 2 in central coast Oregon). Mary has also enjoyed working in habitat restoration during the fall/winter seasons.
