Species Accounts

Species Accounts & Bio-monitoring

INR-OSU and INR-PSU/ORBIC have been working with the USDA Forest Service Northwest and Southwest Regions (R5-6) to write species accounts for species of potential conservation concern on their lands as required for updating national forest plans. This work is being done on species in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest (RRSNF) andĀ forests within the Blue Mountains. For work in the Blue Mountains, INR is working 183 species accounts including 127 vascular plants, 16 bryophytes/lichens/fungi, and 40 animals following templates provided by the Forest Service. INR is also helping the Forest Service sample lichen biomonitoring plots for their air quality program.
